these guys are not metal, but that doesn't matter. i'm sure several of you would really like the sounds from this band. their albums are experimental yet very focused and progressive (..i would maybe so they are jazzy), and they are one of the most interesting bands i've ever seen play live. john stanier from helmet plays drums for them, and he is a fucking MACHINE live. meanwhile, the other members of the band are playing several instruments at the same time by using pedals and knobs to build multiple loops simulataneously. when all is said and done, there's like 50 layers of sound melting your brain from the sound of only 4 men.

go see them live..

i stronnnnngly recommend the album mirrored. my favorite album that came out in 2007.

LIVE (fucking awesome show.. this let's you know what they're about if you haven't seen them..): http://youtube.com/watch?v=3PbYLafK1OU

they are very fucking good.. they're in a world of their own! definitely go to see them. it'd be an amazing show with just them, and i'm sure it'll be a party for sure if gnarls is playing.

more people should check it out. i'm not 100%, but i think miguel would dig this..
