So yesterday I went out to buy Conquer, but the guy from the store told me there's a mid-price action on the complete Zappa backcatalogue, so I ended up ordering some Zappa-cd's and I didn't buy Soulfly's latest.

Give me a good reason why I should! Otherwise I'll keep on buying other stuff.

I'm all about freedom of speech myself so this isn't pointless enough to be locked. If you guys want to throw your 2 cents back & fourth then go right ahead, just make it intelligent & worth reading.

Just want to know a good reason for buying it. I'm a long-time Sepultura fan and I liked the first Soulfly albums. Their latest attempts weren't really my thing. I'm not going to bash the album, I don't even have it (yet?) ... Just need to know what's different this time and what's better.

Well I don't know if my input will be of much use for you since I'm a fan of Prophecy and Dark Ages and I don't really like the first Soulfly attempts as much as I do love their music now. I mean I always was their fan but their latest stuff seems just a lot more impressive to me than their first 3 albums.

Anyway, the album is solid, it contains greats songs but none of them really stands out in my opinion. I didn't like the album at first but now I love it. It's fast, it's thrashy but also groovy. Here's a sudgestion - download the album and listen to it, if you'll like it go buy it, if not forget about it. I know, telling people to download a Soulfly album on official Soulfly forum is kinda wrong but I think that's the most resonable thing to do. Why should someone buy and album that he won't like?

Maybe you should just download it, listen to it and decide whether it's good enough to buy for yourself? If not, buy some more Zappa. You can rarely go wrong with more Zappa.
