Ok well this band my not have a great name. Butttt.... THEY FUCKEN KICKASS I just found them out 2 months ago and yes Norma Jean was I think a 1960's movie/actress. So if you haven't heard them then you should look them up.

i fucken love this band and the completely dissonant sound they produce. i liked the production on Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child and Throwing Myself more because the guitars seemed to sound so much heavier and i enjoy their old vocalist more, but i really liked the direction they took on O God, The Aftermath too. doing chaotic, dillinger like riffing with atmospherics and extremely creative song structures always keeps me entertained.

have you heard The Chariot? it's Norma Jean's old vocalist's new band and it's just crazy. similar to the awesome sounds that were going on in Bless the Martyr, but 10x more fucked up. a billion sounds going on at once. very fun stuff to listen to.

i hate this band and every band who make kids fucking dance in the middle of a mosh pit. fuck this bullshit band. fuck your trends.

classifications really fucking suck, and ignoring every band of a particular scene just because you don't like they're fans definitely ensures that you're missing out on some good stuff.

norma jean definitely wasn't a trendy band when i was listening to this fucked up shit 5 years ago, and i can surely tell you they've definitely not changed they're style to fit in or anything. they're just as crazy as ever. if you want to hate on trends, hate on fall out boy and 50 cent.

if i'd ignored all hip-hop artists just because it seems like most fans of hip-hop are either teenyboppers or wannabes, i wouldn't be listening to such great artists as atmosphere or murs? you know what i mean..?

man, i know what your saying and i wasn't hating on you for listening to them or anyone who does. by the way, your 100% right about just listening to what you want and checking shit out, cuz you found atmosphere who i got a lot of respect for but am not to into. but i have muchhh respect. that music is real to me. i do not think norma jean is real however. but that is just my opinion.

hat is just my personal opinion, i have heard their music man of old and new... i actually have a few friends who enjoy this band and tried very hardly to get me into them haha. No luck though, it's flat out not my style and i don't like them. some of their fans fuck their bands over... such as wearing norma jean gear and going to a metal show and starting fights.
