Posts: 2199 Member #: 99,856 Joined: 09/02/2010	Is anyone a fan of Skeletonwitch? There hasn't been much discussion on this site about the new school of thrash that's arisen over the last five years. I thought I'd mention one of my favorite bands to surface is this "revival". While I think there's been some awesome stuff to come from it (like the thrashcore of Municipal Waste), some of it just hasn't caught my attention... In my opinion, Skeletonwitch is one of the best and most originial. Heavy as fuck, blackened thrash! Exactly! the influences are awesome on their music.. it doesn't sound like they're overdoing it on any aspect, and it feels like a natural marriage of the two styles... Not to mention that their shit is realllly catchy; five days after listen to Beyond the Permafrost, I've always still got it's songs playing in my head while I work through my day.. most of the new wave of thrash has been fucking killer... definitely Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Warbringer are awesome.. Evile is another really good new thrash band I might recommend if you haven't listened to them yet. every song i've listened to from Fueled by Fire has been an epic headbanger too; i'll have to check out an album by them (and merciless death, if you recommend it, gus).
